A day-long, free ‘Diabetes Check-Up Camp and Awareness Program’ was organised at Masina Hospital, on 14^th November, 2024, in observance of World Diabetes Day, in collaboration with Lions Club of Byculla, by Lion Daara Patel and Lion Sorab Bulsara.

Supported by LIFESPAN Clinics and Micro Labs Ltd., the camp was inaugurated by Lion Viraf Mistry and catered to over 150 beneficiaries from nearby Parsi Colonies. Check-ups were conducted for sugar levels and BMI, and healthy diet plans were prescribed by dieticians. Dr. Vaibhav (Lifespan Clinics) spoke about the latest procedures for diabetics, especially the globally trending reverse diabetes procedures.

Lion Daara B Patel and Lion Viraf Mistry released the awareness and recipes book for kids authored by Harsh Kedia from Conscious Mithaiwala, who presented everyone with sugar-free sweets. Lion Daara Patel expressed gratitude to Masina Hospital Trustees and frontrunners – Dr. Vispi Jokhi, Dr. Gustad Daver, Khushroo Major, Homi Katgara and the team of doctors and assistants, as also Lifespan Clinics for the free check-ups and demos of their Healthonify App. The program concluded with commendations from Lion Viraf Mistry, Trustees of Masina Hospital, and other attendees, for the efforts of Lions Daara Patel and Sorab Bulsara and team for their commitment to preventing the spread of diabetes through awareness camps for the community.
