India Win 2nd Test To Clinch Series: An outstanding, unbeaten double ton from Virat Kohli (254), coupled with Mayank Agarwal’s (108), helped India win their second Test Match in style, by an innings and 137 runs against rivals South Africa. Batting first, India declared their first innings at 601-5 in 156.3 overs. En route his double century, Virat pelted 33 boundaries and two maximums while Mayank smashed 16 fours and two sixes; Cheteshwar Pujara made 58 while Ajinkya Rahane contributed 59. For the Proteas, Kagiso Rabada picked (3-93) in 30 overs. South Africa were bundled out for 275 in 105.4 in the first innings as Faf du Plessis scored 64. Ashwin snapped up (4-69); Umesh Yadav picked 3 wickets. Enforcing a follow on South Africa were asked to bat again and this time scored 189 in 67.2 overs, handing India a comfortable win. Virat Kohli was Man of the Match.

India Disappoints In Denmark Open
India’s campaign at the Denmark Open came to a disappointing end as star tennis player PV Sindhu, B Sai Praneeth and Sameer Verma all suffered straight game losses. Sindhu lost 14-21, 17-21 to Korea’s An Se; Praneeth was defeated by Japan’s Kento Momota 6-21, 14-21; Sameer lost to Olympic champion Chen Long of China – 12-21, 10-21; and Satwik and Chirag lost 16-21, 15-21 to sixth seed Chinese pair of Han Chang Kai and Zhou Hao Dong in the Men’s Doubles.

Adil Khan’s header helped India draw 1-1 against Bangladesh in the joint FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 preliminary Qualifiers match at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. India retains fourth spot of Group E with two points.
