Continuing its 4-decade long tradition, the Lions Club of Sion held its Annual Education Project, on 25^th August, 2023, at SNDT College, which felicitated SSC students and teachers with awards, cash prizes and gifts, and featured an elocution competition.

 

The project, presided over by President Lion Dr. Bharat Pathak with PDG Lion Dr Neville Mehta as guest speaker, was organised by PDG Lion Daara B Patel and Lion Usha Sampat and team. It was attended by over 150 participants, comprising students, parents, teachers and dignitaries. Lion Daara Patel also judged the Elocution Competition. This being the Diamond Jubilee year of Lions Club of Sion, this Annual Education Project was aptly renamed in the memory of Late Lion Dr. Ashok Mehta, the Past International President (2005-2006) and mentor to many.

 

While the ‘Lion Dr. Ashok Mehta Rotating Trophy for the Best School’ was awarded to Don Bosco School, Matunga, the ‘Lion Dr. Ashok Mehta Rotating Elocution Trophy’ was won by Kayomarz Dhabhar from DPYA High School, Dadar.
