Pune-based siblings – 10-year-old Fyuushtta and 7-year-old Behaafrid Irani made quite a splash, winning a gold medal each, at the 30th Swimming Championships, held by Meher Irani, at the Pune Parsi Gymkhana (PPG), on 2nd June, 2024. Both sisters won the top spot in the 50 metres, free-style category in the competition, which saw participation from over 450 swimmers.

Studying at Sardar Dastur Girls School, Fyuushtta and Behaafrid have been training at PPG since the age of four. Residing at Pune’s Camp area, Fyuushtta is an avid reader and enjoys playing basketball, and Behaafrid likes drawing and dancing.
