In the crucial semi-finals of the Under 16, Division-II of ‘Football Tournament’ organised by the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA), the Bai Avabai Framji Petit Girls High School (Bandra) outplayed Gokuldham High School (Goregaon) by 2-0. The finals was nerve wrenching with both teams goal-less at half time. However, Petit’s Alla Kolhaa’s scored a lone goal in the 25th minute of the second half of the game, helping them clinch a 1-0 victory against rivals Jamnabai Narsee School (Juhu) and were declared ‘Champions’ at Azad Maidan. Petit kept putting pressure on their opposition all throughout their final encounter as they stuck to their game plan of 3-4-3 and intentionally used aerial shots to break Jamnabai’s defence. Ultimately, striker Alla Kolhaa hammered the ball into the net from the right side of the penalty box, thanks to assistance from Annuben Jiwasa. Alla’s special performance got her personal total tally of 4 goals in the entire tournament. Team Petit’s Coach, Rajaram Shetty played an instrumental part, along with Petit team’s competitive spirit and never give up attitude, which helped them clinch their first every champion trophy.
