ZAC Performs Vandidad Sadeh

The Zoroastrian Association of California (ZAC) performed the auspicious Vandidad Sadeh ceremony, which comprises the reciting of 22 chapters of the Vandidad, as part of their annual fundraiser. The ceremony was performed to invoke divine succour to help the world get rid of the deadly Delta variant and to receive an abundance of blessings from the vibrations of one of the most powerful nightlong Manthric prayers of the Vandidad Sadeh, which was recited on Saturday 24th June, 2021, from 1:30 am until morning.

The prayers started with an Ushin Geh Boi and concluded with a Havan Geh Boi. “The powerful manthric vibrations, from the recital of Vendidad/Vidaevodat, help to curtail and prevent the natural and man-made calamities in the world, thus bringing a balance in nature, by blessing all of humanity. It was, therefore, more important than ever to recite this time-tested ancient prayer to bring back the order of Āshā in our world and our lives. Through the powerful mānthric vibrations of the sacred Vandidād, our world can be rid of this Ahrimanic calamity,” shared Er. Zarrir Bhandara, Head Priest of the ZAC Atashkadeh.

More recently, on 31st July, 2021, the sprightly bunch of dedicated volunteers cleaned the ZAC Atashkadeh premises as pre-Muktad clean-up ritual for the prayers and to welcome the Parsi New Year.
