India Beat Sri Lanka 3-0 and Win Series: Splendid performances from Shikar Dhawan (119) and Hardik Pandya (108) with the bat along with Kuldeep Yadav’s (4-40), and Ashwin’s (4-68) in the second innings helped India notch up a win by an innings and 171 runs in the third Test Match at Pallekele. India whitewashed Sri Lanka with a 3-0 victory and Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to register an overseas series whitewash. Hardik Pandya won ‘Man of the Match’, while Shikhar Dhawan was awarded ‘Man of the Series’.
Arjun Shetty Shines For Parsi Gymkhana: During their Kanga League encounter, batting first, Parsi Gymkhana declared at 268-5 in 36 overs. Arjun Shetty’s top class knock of a 103*(78), smashing 12 fours and 3 sixes stood out for the side. Along with Arjun, Bravish Shetty too contributed a good 45. In reply, Shivaji Park Gymkhana only managed 148-2 in 39 overs as the match ended in a draw.

On 12th August UP Yoddha defeated Telegu Titians 39-32, followed by Gujarat Fortunegiants beating Dabang Delhi KC 29-25. Next day Patna Pirates tied 27-27 with UP Yoddha while Gujarat Fortunegiants won 27-20 V/s Jaipur Pink Panthers. On 15th August Puneri Paltan outplayed Bengal Warriors 34-17 and Gujarat Fortunegiants defeated Bengaluru Bulls 27-24.

Don Bosco Matunga Crowned Division 1 Champions: Skipper of Don Bosco ‘A’ (Matunga), Mannan Dang led his troop professionally with intelligence and composure which in turn helped them retain their title once again as they defeated opponents Campion ‘A’ (Cooperage) 3-0 at the Mumbai Schools Sports Association organised under 16 Division 1 football tournament final. Nihal Dudwadkar’s splendid brace supported by Nathan Murzello’s goal was instrumental in their success.
Maneckji Cooper (Juhu) Win Division 3: A great overall performance from Maneckji Cooper (Juhu) helped them clinch a 4-3 victory by the penalty shootout against Army Public School (Colaba) to win the final of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association organised inter-school under 16, Division 3 football tournament. Aman Khanna, skipper Ushain Gandhi, Dhritimaan Sriram and Omar Patel starred for the Juhu outfit.
