Mumbai Indians Win Thriller Against CSK: The El-Classico of the Indian Premier League kept its fans on the edge of their seats, as Mumbai Indians (MI) clinched a thrilling one run victory against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Malinga’s last over will be etched in the minds of MI loyalists for a long time to come. Prior, batting first MI could only manage 149-8 in their 20 overs as Kieron Pollard top scored with a 25 ball 41 laced with three fours and three huge maximums. CSK bowlers were on top of their game all thanks to a disciplined effort. Deepak Chahar was the pick of the bowlers snaring (3-26) while Shardul Thakur and Imran Tahir picked two wickets each. In reply, CSK managed to get 148-7 in their 20 overs as Shane Watson was the lone warrior for his team…getting 80 off 59 deliveries smashing eight fours and four sixes in the process. MS Dhoni’s run out by Ishan Kishan was the turning point of the match. Man of the Match Jasprit Bumrah grabbed (2-14) in his four overs, while Krunal Pandya, Lasith Malinga and Rahul Chahar snapped one wicket each. There were plenty of awards given out: Pitch and ground Trophy went to Punjab (Mohali) and Hyderabad, Shubman Gill won the Emerging Player Award, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the Fairplay award. The Fastest Fifty was clinched by Hardik Pandya, Perfect Catch of the Season went to Kieron Pollard. The season’s Super Striker was picked up by Andre Russell, KL Rahul was awarded the Stylish Player of the Season, Rahul Chahar took home the Game Changer of the Season. On the other hand, David Warner won the Orange Cap for his 692 runs in 12 matches while Imran Tahir got the Purple Cap. Finally Rohit Sharma and the Mumbai Indians Team were awarded with the IPL 2019 trophy.
G.S. Lakshmi Appointed As First Woman Referee By ICC” India’s G.S. Lakshmi has become the first woman to be appointed to the ICC’s International Panel of match referees. She has officiated as match referee in domestic women’s cricket, ODIs and T20I games.

While Cardiff City beat Manchester United 2-0 and West Ham United overpowered rivals Watford clinching a 4-1 victory.
