India Wins 1st Pink Ball Test Match At Home:A magical performance from India’s speedsters – Man of the Match and Man of the Series – Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami, coupled with a splendid batting effort from skipper Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara helped India win their first ever pink ball test match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata by an innings and 46 runs against Bangladesh. Batting first, Bangladesh were bundled out for a paltry 106 in 30.3 overs with Shadman Islam top scoring with 29. Amongst the India bowlers, Ishant picked up a five-wicket haul (5-22) in his 12 overs while Umesh grabbed (3-29) in seven overs and Mohammed Shami took (2-36). During their first innings, India declared at 347-9 in 89.4 overs. Kohli smashed 136 off 194 deliveries with 18 fours while Ajinkya scored 51 and Cheteshwar Pujara made 55. For Bangladesh, Al-Amin Hossain and Ebadat Hossain snared three wickets each. Batting again during the second innings, the Bengal tigers were reduced to 195 in 41.1 overs with Ishant Sharma spearheading the attack and picking another four wickets. Umesh Yadav on the other hand took (5-53).
Parsee Gymkhana Wins 2nd Police Shield League Game: Team Parsee Gymkhana (PG) continued their spectacular show on field during the second league match of the Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament 2019, which was held at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium in Thane, beating Payyade Sports Club by seven wickets and cruising to victory in style, losing just three wickets in the process. They finished off with 202-3.

Deepika, Ankita In Semis – Asian Archery Championships: India’s top talents, Deepika Kumari and Ankita Bhakat, stormed into the semi-finals of the women’s recurve event in the 21st Asian Archery Championships. Deepika put up an exceptional show to beat Nur Afisa Abdul Halil of Malaysia 7-2; Iran’s Zahra Nemati 6-4; and Narisara Khunhiranchaiyo 6-2. While Ankita overpowered rivals Lam Shuk Ching Ada of Hong Kong 7-1; Nguyen Thi Phuong of Vietnam 6-0; and Kazhakstan’s Anastassiya Bannova 6-4.

Srikanth, Praneeth, Prannoy In 2nd Round: Indian shuttlers – Kidambi Srikanth, B Sai Praneeth and HS Prannoy performed exceptionally well to reach the second round of the men’s singles event during the Syed Modi International Badminton tournament in Lucknow. Srikanth beat Vladimir Malkov 21-12, 21-11 while Sai Praneeth won again Iskandar Zulkarnain 21-16, 22-20 and Prannoy beat China’s Li Shi Feng 18-21, 22-20, 21-13.
