Jehan Irani Scores 3 Silvers At ICN India, Qualifies For ICN Universe Korea

Jehan Darayush Irani, Mumbai-based fitness coach and natural athlete, won three silver medals across three categories – ‘Men’s Bodybuilding’; ‘Men’s Physique’; and ‘Classic Physique’ – at the ‘I Compete Natural’ (ICN) India, the Indian chapter of the body-building and fitness competition, on 27th May, 2023. He also won the ‘Champion Posing’ award and has been selected to now compete at the ‘ICN Universe’ championship which will be held in Korea.

23-year-old Jehan competed with 3% bodyfat at the show, having stayed on a professionally monitored diet for eight months alongside a training program, to achieve the perfect form for the contest. Jehan serves as an inspiration to a number of people, having been formerly overweight himself. Speaking to Parsi Times, Jehan shared, “I used to weight 113 kgs, and had above 35% body fat. But this that a former obese kid can look something like this, and be an achiever. This transformation has motivated a lot of people and that fills my heart with joy. Many sacrifices were made, to achieve this goal.”

Born and brought up Mumbai, Jehan is a Hotel Management graduate, and is pursuing Business Marketing from IIM Lucknow. He has been lifting weights and training for five years now and is inspired by body builders from the 80’s era, like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Frank Zane. Last year, Jehan participated in his very first professional competition ever at ICN India and brought home four trophies – three golds and one silver. The son of proud parents Behnaaz and Darayush Irani, Jehan credits his mother for being his constant cheerleader.

“Getting in contest condition naturally, is extremely challenging, especially when you have other tasks in life. I trained to make my close ones proud of me. This achievement would not have been possible without the immense support of my family and The Parsee Gymkhana,” added Jehan.

Jehan religiously follows a disciplined training regimen and a strict diet and is looking to carve a niche in the Fitness industry. Having also studied nutrition, Jehan wants to empower people into achieving their fitness goals and bringing about their desired transformations, towards greater health.
