Premier League Results: On 9th December, West Ham United beat Chelsea 1-0, Burnley outplayed Watford 1-0 while Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth were involved in a 2-2 draw. Huddersfield Town outplayed Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 while Swansea City won 1-0 V/s West Bromwich Albion. Tottenham Hotspur on the other hand thrashed Stoke City 5-1 and Leicester City beat Newcastle United 3-2. The following day Southampton drew 1-1 with Arsenal. Finally Manchester City outplayed Manchester United 2-1. On 12th December Burnley won 1-0 with Stoke City while Crystal Palace defeated Watford to emerge 2-1. Chelsea beat Huddersfield Town 3-1.

Rohit Smashes Third Double Ton, Helps India Level Series: Skipper Rohit Sharma’s explosive unbeaten knock of 208, which came off just 153 deliveries (including 13 fours and 12 sixes) coupled with Shreyas Iyer’s 88 along with Shikhar Dhawan’s 68, helped India seal a mammoth 141 runs victory against Sri Lanka at Mohali. Batting first India scored 392-4 in 50 overs. Lankan Skipper Thisara Perera scalped 3-80 in his eight overs spell while Sachith Pathirana took one wicket. In reply, they lost the wicket of Upal Tharanga with just 15 runs on the board. Angelo Mathews managed to remain not out on 111. Sri Lanka finished off with 251-8 in their 50 overs. For India, Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers snapping up 3-60 in his 10-over spell. Jasprit Bumrah picked two while debutant Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya chipped in with one each. Rohit Sharma was awarded Man of the Match.

Dubai World Super Series: PV Sindhu Advances, Srikanth Out: Ace India shuttler PV Sindhu continued her great form defeating Japan’s Sayaka Sato 21-13, 21-12 in the Dubai World Super Series Finals 2017. Kidambi Srikanth crashed out of the tournament, as Chinese Chou Tien Chen won straight sets 18-21, 18-21.
