Mental health professional, Hvovi Bhagwagar, was recently awarded the ‘Times HealthCare Achiever’ award in the Young Achievers category at St. Regis, Mumbai on 26^th May, 2018. Operating from her private clinic, ‘Manashni’, at Powai and specialising in traumatic stress, Hvovi said, “I would like to see more support for mental health professionals and patients in the coming decade. Lack of support interventions in the healthcare community is leading to disastrous consequences such as burnout and attrition. My hope for the mental health community is optimistic with the release of the Mental Health Act of 2017 which has made some radical changes in our views of mental health.”

After thorough screening process and preliminary checks by advisory partner, Ernst and Young, other winners who made our community proud at the award function included Dr. Firuza Parikh (Fertility Specialist), Dr. Keki Turel (Neurologist) and Dr. Khusrav Bajan (Emergency and Critical care) who were felicitated in the ‘Legends’ category.
