“Will work as part of the new Board, as effectively, as honestly, as dedicatedly, as I have done over the last six-and-a-half years”
Two days from now, all of us – the candidates and the community members – will sleep peacefully, some happily, some not so happily. However, we would have all heaved a sigh of relief because 6 weeks of hectic campaigning would have finally concluded.
These 6 weeks have been a very humbling yet fulfilling experience for me. It has been my privilege and pleasure to have met so many community members.
I’m thankful for the huge turnouts, despite no inducements offered, save a bottle of water. It was truly heart-warming to see community members coming out in large numbers and staying on for over two hours – listening, talking, discussing, questioning…. But the biggest reward was when so many would come up to us and tell us that our meeting has been an eye-opener for them.
The number of people whose lives one seems to have touched positively, through this six-and-a-half-year journey, is simply amazing. I’ve been floored by the sheer number of people who have come up to me, before and after these meetings…. some whose names and faces I wasn’t able to recall. Then again, what’s important is to know that you were able to make a difference in the lives of others, not who it was that you helped. This outpouring of gratitude has further strengthened my resolve to continue working for the welfare of our community and the Trust.
And that is why it doesn’t matter what my detractors have been saying over the past couple of months to malign me. The community knows the truth behind my thoughts, my words and my deeds.
Our 5-member team – ‘Committed To Community’ of five, have now become a like-minded and driven team with a common goal, more than co-contestants. It will be my greatest pleasure if the entire Team is elected and it will be this victory, if it comes through, which will be the road to deliver on the promises we have made.
I offered myself as a candidate only because I had unfulfilled dreams and agendas for the community, sabotaged by outsiders. And only because I believe from the bottom of my heart, that we can deliver, and deliver we will, as a team, if elected.
While one does understand that the verdict of the community could lead to a fractured Board, my commitment to my community stands. I shall put my best foot forward on the 31st of May, and will work as part of the new Board, as effectively, as honestly, as dedicatedly, as I have done over the last six-and-a-half years.
That is my promise. That is my commitment.

“His heart truly beats for the less privileged of our community and he has selflessly and unconditionally dedicated his time and efforts to various causes of the community, through his 6.5 years’ tenure as a Trustee. The new Board needs him at its helm to continue the good work. I wish Kersi and Team Committed To Community the very best in these elections. They are the NEED OF THE HOUR. Their presence on the Board will undoubtedly prove to be a WIN-WIN for the BPP and the community.”

“He has always been the champion of the proverbial ‘underdogs’, and always stood and fought for the rights of the poor, needy and homeless. He does not waver, nor does he compromise on his core beliefs and values. it is important that Kersi gets the opportunity to serve for a second term, so as to maintain continuity and ensure that incomplete projects of the BPP are completed seamlessly. In Kersi, I see qualities of genuine passion and sincerity combined with vast knowledge and experience. While BPP does need fresh blood, it also needs a strong and reliable sitting trustee like Kersi to guide and assist new trustees and ensure seamless succession on the BPP Board.”

“He is most certainly a ‘Go To Person’ who one can rely on, whenever a problem arises… In his 6.5 years tenure on the Board, he has proved his commitment to the community, and has been a ‘hands on’ worker – dedicated and very focussed. We need such people on the Board, people who genuinely work and feel for the community, especially the poor.”
– Ms. Mithoo Jesia, Proposer for Kersi Randeria’s Candidature
“He is a visionary with community welfare being his sole objective. Furthermore, he is the perfect blend of sound legal knowledge and unimpeachable integrity. I have seen him working ceaselessly for the good of the community, oftentimes, at the cost of his personal life and business.”
– Yezdi Bhagwagar (Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor for Jam-e-Jamshed)
Trendsetter Trustee Kersi Randeria, whose heart truly beats for the community, has conceived the new courtesy of putting his hand to his heart, as a mark of sincere respect, while singing the Parsi Anthem – ‘Chhaiye Humey Zarthosti’. Needless to say, it has caught on rapidly, with fellow candidates and community members following suit! “It is something that just comes naturally – I’ve always wanted to do this when we sing our community’s anthem and now, during the campaigns, we are finally doing it as a new and novel way to respect our anthem… but more so, as a reminder of who we are and what we stand for,” said Kersi Randeria.
