Known for her exceptional musical talent for playing the harmonica, for over half a century now, Rustom Baug resident – 82-year-old Coomie Sam Kasad, was felicitated for her musical genius, at Hamsanada Foundation’s event – ‘Harmonica Vaibhava’, which was held at the Sri Krishnadevaraya Kalamandira, in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, on 4^th June, 2023.

A known face at various community events, Coomie was mentored by her father for playing the harmonica since age six. Her presence is much anticipated on innumerable occasions where she is known to regale the audiences with her brilliant talent, especially playing golden oldies of Bollywood. Delighted at this recognition, Coomie Kasad shared that playing music is magical and that she hoped more Parsi youth would learn to play musical instruments.
