The F S Parukh Dharamshalla, run under the aegis of the Bombay Parsi Punchayet, organized a fun filled gala evening for over a hundred of its residents on 9th January, 2017, where the ‘Queen’ and ‘King’ of the Dharamshalla, as well as the ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘Dancing King’ were declared, amidst great cheer and excitement! An initiative sponsored by well-wishers and supporters of the Dharamshalla, the contests were judged by Zarin Davar, Zenia Lawyer and Dinaz Delwadewala, who were pleasantly surprised with the talent and spirited performance of the residents. Finally the judges decided to crown Mehru Lala and Firdosh Engineer as the ‘Queen’ and ‘King’ of the Dharamshalla respectively. Nergish Mehta and Rohinton Dastoor were declared 1st Runners Up, while Freny Madan and Cyrus Mehta were announced ‘Dancing Queen and King’ respectively. Previously, the residents of Parukh Dharamshalla were treated to yet another musical entertainment variety on 6th February, 2017, with Kersi Kadodwala and Viraf Daruwala singing nostalgic Hindi hits of Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar.
