Lions Clubs and IDMA Commemorate World Diabetes Day

On the occasion of ‘World Diabetes Day’, the Lions Clubs of District 3231 – A1 and Multiple District 3231, along with Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA) and Western Railway Employees Union (WREU), organized a ‘Diabetes Awareness and Free Check-Up’ camp at Churchgate Station on 14th November, 2018. Inaugurated by DRM, Sanjay Mishra; 2nd Vice District Governor, Lion Rajkumar Gupta and Chairperson, CSR – Multiple District 3231, the three unanimously worked towards raising awareness about diabetes, followed by Hon. Secretary, WREU, Prashant Kanade addressing the gathering about the health problems faced by railway employees and how the union is helping their employees fight diabetes. The event witnessed over three hundred and seventy-five people signing up for the health check-up, of which a hundred and twenty people were reported to have diabetes. The event concluded with Lion Daara Patel thanking all thirty Lions Clubs, including the Lead Club – Lions Club of Byculla for supporting this camp, and appreciated the excellent support provided by Apollo Hospital.
