Yasmin Mistry Conferred Doctorate In ‘Women Entrepreneurship And Welfare’

The Zoroastrian Trust Funds of India’s dynamic frontrunner and trustee, Yasmin Mistry was conferred a doctorate in ‘Women Entrepreneurship and Welfare’, in recognition of her inexhaustible body of community service and social work, by the National Virtual University for Peace and Education, registered under the Government of India as well as the United Nations Organisation (UNO), Geneva. Yasmin was felicitated at a function in Chennai last month with the Doctorate citation recognising her ‘concern and commitment towards the society at large’.

Speaking to Parsi Times about the prestigious recognition bestowed on her, Yasmin said, “It feels wonderful to be recognised for something I am so passionate about. I thank Ahura Mazda for blessing me with this honour and I thank my family, especially my mum, Arnavaz Mistry, for being my prime inspiration in my journey and always helping and supporting me; as also my lovely friends for their immense love and encouragement. A big thank you to Mrs. Vijaya Saraswathy and Mr. Shyam Panwar who had faith in me and were instrumental in conferring this privilege. I dedicate this honour to our glorious community.”

When asked about her current plans, Yasmin says, “To continue and reinforce the sense of community service and activities offered by ZTFI. I look forward to increasing the scope of ZTFI in terms of funding, activities and volunteers, so that we can provide the poorer sections of our community a better quality of life, and foster a sense of unity and belonging. In addition to Community Service, I am also involved in a number of Social Service projects because I believe we can never limit our ability to help those in need. However, working for the betterment of our Community will always remain my priority – as encapsulated in the motto of ZTFI – ‘Community First’!”

Kudos and Congratulations, Dr. Yasmin Mistry!
