VCCCI’s Vintage Car Fiesta 2025, Pune

For over a decade, Motorcycle Connoisseur and PT’s Expert Columnist, Kerfegar Eduljee, has been one of the foremost names in the Motorcycle and Two-Wheeler Circuit. A judge by special invitation at the prestigious, annual Vintage and Classic Car Club of India (VCCCI) event for the Motorcycle and Two-Wheeler Segment, Kerfegar has been honoured with numerous felicitations, including by the VCCCI.

The Vintage and Classic Car Club of India (VCCCI) is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of vintage and classic vehicles in India. Through events as these, the Club brings together a vibrant community of enthusiasts and collectors, to celebrate the legacy of motoring.

The Vintage & Classic Car/Motorcycle Annual Fiesta 2025, organized by the Vintage and Classic Car Club of India (VCCCI), was held at the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) grounds in Pune on March 29-30, 2025, showcasing over 100 vintage cars and motorcycles. This 2-day event drew crowds in thousands, braving the scorching sun. This immersive, multi-sensory extravaganza delighted participants and mesmerized onlookers in equal measure.

The prize distribution ceremony was held post the day-long display and judging of vehicles. Gracing the evening were Amitesh Kumar (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Pune and Lt. Gen. Dhiraj Seth PVSM, AVSM GOC-IN-C, Southern Command.

As always, the event witnessed some Parsi/Irani winners across categories. Yohan Z Poonawalla’s cars were awarded in the following categories.

  • 1927 Rolls Royce 20 HP ‘Concours d’Elegance Vintage Car Award’
  • 1959 Cadillac Eldorado ‘Concours d’Elegance Classic Car Award’
  • 1933 Rolls Royce Phantom II ‘Car of the Show’

The 1956 Fiat Heritage of Mr. Karl Bhot was awarded first-place, in the ‘Best Restored Indian Heritage Class’.  Also braving the Pune heat, was an 88-year-old car driver, enthusiast and proponent for road safety, Prabha Nene from Pune.

Kudos to the curator and driving force behind this extravaganza – Nitin Dossa, Chairman – Vintage and Classic Car Club of India (VCCCI), Chairman – Western India Automobile Association (WIAA) and Vice-President – Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
