The Young Rathestars – our community’s leading Social Welfare Association, from Dadar Parsi Colony, held a Parsi New Year bonanza, with its Annual Grain Distribution Program, at the Sorab Palamkote Hall in Mumbai, on 20th August, 2023. The Grain Distribution is an annual tradition of charity by the Young Rathestars, which spans for over three decades.

Over 450 poor and financially disadvantaged Parsi/Irani Zoroastrian families were provided with sadras, food grains, pulses, tea, sugar, oil, toiletries, household items and linen. Special items – a bucket and mug were also given. The beneficiaries shared their gratitude for receiving this necessary aid, in the form of food grains and essential items, year after year from the organization.

Established in 1942, Young Rathestars has been committed to the welfare of the lesser privileged community members. Young Rathestars has ensured to reach out to provide help and support to the poor Zarthosti families, even going to rural villages in Gujarat and helping the poor Zarthostis living there.

Kudos to the dedicated team of Young Rathestars, helmed by President – Arnavaz Jal Mistry, supported ably by office bearers – Homiyar Doctor (VP); Yassmin Mistry (Treasurer); Shiraz Guard and Kashmira Khambatta (Jt. Secs), alongside an equally dedicated team of committee members.
