The Lions Club of Byculla (LCB) refurbished the Zilla Parishad Prathamik School at Jambhale Village, Ahmednagar with various ISO certified educational equipment during its inauguration on 5th October, 2016. As the only ISO certified school in Ahmednagar district, the project which cost Rs. 4.5 lakhs, will impart higher education to students with the help of modern education software. The event was graced by Lion Hoshang Wania, Lion Percy Master, Lion Shahrukh Marolia, local dignitaries, Gram Panchayat, the school’s principal, teachers, students and parents.

The locals applauded the club’s contribution in promoting education at grass root level, which was initiated by Shri Subash Gawade, ex village school student, conceptualized and funds raised by Past President, Lion Percy Master, coordinated by Lion Hosang Wania and implemented by Lion Shahrukh Marolia. Lion Shahrukh Marolia emphasised that no budget was considered in supplying the best available equipment that was requested for. Lion Percy Master explained the meaning of ISO and the responsibilities it carries. He was very vocal about the need to educate girl child and went on to promise more assistance to education in villages.
