Zubin Mehta to Lead The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra

Maestro Conductor of Western Classical Music, Zubin Mehta has declared his retirement from the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) in 2019, after serving as its Director for over five decades and conducting over three thousand shows. His retirements from IPO comes only after he leads the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium, New York City, for three back to back shows. Commencing at the hall on 25th October, 2017, the three performances will conclude a seven-city North American tour with Mehta and the IPO, hosted by the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic. Recognized globally as a world-class symphonic ensemble, the IPO is the leading orchestra in Israel and performs regularly in its home, the Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv, as well as throughout Israel, including Jerusalem and Haifa.
