Commencing Friday, 27th to 29th December, 2019, IUU2019 has a gala experience in store for you! Living up to its reputation, IUU2019 is the world’s largest Zoroastrian platform for Zaroastrians to come together and commemorate our culture and ethos in an environment which nurtures unity, bonding and camaraderie, across three days of festivities which explore and celebrate the essence of Parsipanu. Immaterial of your age or preferences – IUU2019 has something to offer everyone!!!
Organized by the Foundation for Development of Udvada (FDU), with Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla as the lead sponsor and championed by the Dept. of Tourism, Govt. of Gujarat and Udvada Samast Anjuman, IUU is the brainchild of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, its previous two editions have been graced by an array of our nation’s top celebrities and politicos, alongside a host of Parsi luminaries and organizations from across the world.
IUU2019 will be attended by an array of dignitaries including Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles and Women & Child Development Smt. Smriti Irani; Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijay Rupani; Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Gujarat – Shri Jawahar Chavda and innumerable community personalities and celebrities including Dr. Cyrus S. IUU2019 kicks off on 27th December with a Hama Anjuman Maachi and Jashan in Uziran Geh at 3:40pm at ‘Iranshah Atash Behram’ with innumerable activities and interactive events including Book Launches of authors – Ervad Dr. Ramiyar Karanjia and Meher Bhesania (‘My Golden Book on Zoroastrianism’); Monajats or Parsi devotional songs by Havovi Karanjia; Plays by Mithoo Jesia (‘Amar Jyoti Zarathustra’) as well as by Yazdi Karanjia and Mahrukh Chichgar (‘Gujarat ni Arsi Amhe Parsi’); Talks by Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla, Homi Gandhi (FEZANA), Edul Davar, President, WZCC; felicitations of eminent personalities including Vada Dasturji Dr. Firoze Kotwal, Sooni Taraporevala and other renowned educationists, entrepreneurs and sports personalities; Heritage Walks, Treasure Hunt, Cookery Show, Winter Fest Games, and last but never the least for us bawas – excellent meals catered by one of the best caterers in Gujarat!
Since its inception in 2015, the IUU, held every two years, has been hailed as the worldwide Zoroastrian Community’s premier cultural fest, drawing in over 3,000 participations globally. The tremendous success received so far for this gigantic undertaking makes one look forward to its oncoming third edition – ‘IUU2019’, which promises to out-do the previous two with enhanced programs and activities for all, from the 2-year-olds to those in their 90s!

KINDLY NOTE: Delegates are requested to carry a copy of their RECEIPTs and show the same at the Registration counters set up at the Zoroastrian Information Centre (Museum), from 3:00pm onwards on Friday, 27th December. One can register for the various activities at the Registration counters upon reaching there. We request everyone to be seated by 5:00 pm on 27th & 28th December as the evening functions start at 5pm sharp. On Sunday, 29th December, 2019, all delegates are requested to be at the venue by 10:00 am (Proposed Dress Code: Traditional Saari and Dagli).
