XYZ’s First Virtual Summer Camp Ends With A Bang!

The XYZ Foundation conducted an exciting virtual Summer Camp from 14th – 22nd May, 2021, hosted by different XYZ groups. Media Partner – Parsi Times brings you the concluding second half of the fun-camp… 

Day 5, conducted the Tehmurasp’s Titans, kicked off with a session close to every Zoroastrian’s heart – Food, with TT volunteers/parents Armin Wadia and Behroz Dumasia teaching participants to make mango ice-cream and potato cheese baskets! An Origami workshop followed, where participants learnt to make origami flowers, food and apparel and had to use these items to make a complete art piece. A talk on Netiquette by Delnaz Irani followed by a fun game – ‘Who Am I’ concluded the day. 

Daraius’ Daredevils commenced Day 6 with a fun and energized indoor Scavenger Hunt, followed by a dynamic dance session by Katrina Besania. Farida Umrigar conducted a dessert making workshop in the evening, which concluded with a fun Musical Housie session. Day 7, under Behram’s Battalion, started with amusing Gujarati Games followed by a creative ‘Suited and Booted’ competition where participants made related articles. Parent Kaynaz Ghista ended the day with cooking session and a toast to XYZ.

Noshirwan’s Knights commanded Day 8 with a morning fitness workout by XYZ Seniors Yurshaan Guard, followed by NK member Freya Bacha’s Frappe making activity. Next was the Dot Art making session by Rushan Bhot and Asho Farohar making by parent Tahiya Bacha. The ‘What’s The Good Word’ quiz livened the evening. 

Day 9, the last day of the camp, which coincided with XYZ’s Foundation Day, was hosted by the Artaxerxes’ Army, the Executive Committee of XYZ. The morning session started with announcing the overall XYZ points for the first quarter, followed by an interesting recital of Shanameh stories by Er. Dr. Ramiyar Karanjia. An afternoon drama workshop for children was held before the announcement of ‘This Is Me’ competition results, where participants dressed and performed like their favourite movie / TV characters. 

An online Jashan celebrating XYZ’s Roj birthday, was conducted by the Godavara Gamadia Agiary. Next, was quiz time with ‘Around The World In 80 Minutes’ Quiz. The highlight of the day was the Prize Distribution where Team 10 was adjudged the Winning Team of the Summer Camp. The evening ended on a high note with a virtual dance party. 

The XYZ Summer Camp was indeed a huge success. Despite the ongoing pandemic, XYZ brought together 180 participants from across India, who have now become one huge happy family at the end of nine days!
