The Cusrow Baug United Sports & Welfare League (CBUSWL), known for organizing various exciting events was put on hold due to the pandemic. With the pandemic hopefully on its last leg and a dynamic, newly elected Managing Committee in place, events were up once again, kicking off with the Dae Mahino Jashan, Housie and dinner in June, followed by two fun movie nights – one for kids (Ratatouille) and the other for colony seniors (Roman Holiday), with the latter drawing in over 60 delighted silvers who look forward to more such events soon.

For the youth, CBUSWL planned the ‘CB Super 6’ – where a team of 6 come together and participate in pairs in three different games – Badminton, Table Tennis and Carrom, simultaneously, against another team! On July 30^th and 31^st, 2022, a total of 12 teams with 72 participants took part in these exciting tournaments. Round 1 comprised all 12 teams participating in a knockout match, while in Round 2, participants competed against 2 other teams, with the final 2 teams playing for the win.  The event witnessed over 100 excited Cusrow Baug residents come in to cheer for their favourite teams.

The event ended with the prize distribution where the Winning Team (participants – Jehan Hansotia, Jehan Deboo, Viraf Hansotia, Shernaz Dadachanji, Zehan Shroff and Cyrus Vazifdar) took home Rs.6,000/- and the Runners-up team (participants – Vispi Shroff, Neville Patel, Firdaus Shroff, Yasmin Shroff, Zubin Jaorewalla and Minoo Tarapore) won Rs. 3,000/-. Kudos to Shahazad Gandhi, Hoshaang Gotla and Homiyar Banker for organizing the tournament. CBUSWL now looks to take this to an All Parsi Level soon, with participation from teams across Mumbai.
