Behram Yazad Shrine Celebrates First Anniversary

The first anniversary of the Behram Yazad Shrine at Dadysett Aatash Behram at Fanaswadi (Mumbai) was celebrated on 4th December, 2017, with an increasing number of devotees attending the Humbandagi organized by Er. Darayesh Katrak. The celebrations commenced with a jasan ceremony led by Er. Katrak, with Er. Paurush Behramkamdin, Er. Jimmy Panthaki and Er. Rayomand Velati, followed by a humbandagi conducted outside the hall of the Behram Yazad Shrine. Attended by Trustees of Dadysett Charities Behram Ardeshir, Veera Choksey, Shapoor Mistry and BPP Trustee Zarir Bhathena, the special guest for the day was Roshni Shroff from Karachi. Kashmira Kapadia introduced the Trustees and expressed gratitude for their support towards the Behram Yazad Shrine, while Behram Ardeshir praised the efforts of Er. Darayesh Katrak and the priests of the Atash Behram, especially, Er. Minoo Nalladaru and Er. Pervez Nalladaru for serving the Dadysett Aatash Behram consistently for 63 and 62 years, respectively.

Kapadia extolled the qualifications and vocational achievements of keynote speaker and current Secretary of the Dadysett Charities Trust, Er. Darayesh Katrak who delivered a talk on the life of Prophet Zarathushtra, detailing how King Gayomard of the Peshdadian (‘Pesh’ means First) Dynasty taught the people to believe only in Dadar Ahura Mazda, and emphasised that the life of Prophet Zarathushtra teaches us to always fulfil our purposes, regardless of the obstacles, to never accept failure and to always base our decisions on Divine Wisdom. Kapadia delivered a vote of thanks, followed by a rendition of Chhaiye Hame Zarthoshti, light entertainment and dinner catered by Khambatta caterers.
