Brilliant performances by Ajinkya Rahane (188 runs) and skipper Virat Kohli (211 runs), put up a gigantic total of 557. In reply, the Kiwis succumbed after scoring 299 runs as Ashwin scalped 6/81. India declared victory at 216/3 in their second innings, which was no match for their visitors, who were all out for a paltry score of 153. India won by 321 runs. Ashwin was ‘Man of the Match’ and ‘Man of the Series’.

South Africa Overpower Australia To Clinch Series: South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw scored 122 runs, leading to 327/8 in 50 overs. Australia’s David Warner scored 173 runs before being run out, but ended up on the losing side with 296 runs. SA won by 31 runs and won the series 5-0. David Warner was ‘Man of the Match’ while Rossouw was awarded ‘Man of the Series’

Mumbai Win A Thriller V/s Tamil Nadu In Ranji Opener: Put into bat first, Tamil Nadu managed 87 runs in their first innings. For Mumbai, Dhawal Kulkarni and Tushar Deshpande bagged 8 wickets. Mumbai scored 176 in the first innings. Tamil Nadu put up 185 runs during their second innings. The pitch was difficult to bat on when Mumbai were chasing. Abhishek Nayar rescued the side with 45 runs. Mumbai won a great contest by 2 wickets with Dhawal Kulkarni’s 10 wicket haul.

Indian Super League Results: FC Pune defeated FC Goa 2-1 on 8th October while the next day Kerala Blasters FC and Delhi Dynamos FC were involved in a draw. 11th October saw Mumbai City FC draw 1-1 V/s Atletico de Kolkata. On 12th October North East United FC won 1-0 against rivals FC Pune City. While on 13th October Chennaiyin FC defeated FC Goa 2-0.
