Double Dhamaal at Salsette

Salsette Parsi Colony’s Gen-Next got together to host two fun-filled, entertaining events – one outdoor and one indoor – across the last weekend. On April 20, 2019, Salsette’s sprightly youth got together at 8:00 am to participate in the first ‘Bacchaas Premier League’ (BPL), where over 25 children between nine and sixteen years of age, competed in the Box Cricket games. With lofty sixes and fours and heroic catches, the mixed teams had great fun. Darayus Bhagwagar’s team won the tournament, with Kayan and Delrina awarded Best Player and Best Emerging Player, respectively. Ending the day with cool refreshments, the second day – April 21 – had even more entertainment in store with a bigger response comprising over 50 children who participated in indoor games including Knock the Soft Toys, Bucket Ball, KhoKho, SnapCatch, Carrom, Table Tennis and more. While the father-daughter duo – Pearl and Nozer Amalsadiwala – won the TT Doubles, Pearl won the TT Singles and Dasha Gandevia and Satish Patel won the Carrom Doubles Tourney.

It was heartening to see so many youngsters and their parents enjoying the dhamaal together, all thanks to Salsette’s dynamic, budding organisers – Yazad, Jaanesh, Jeraz, Pakzin and Pakzan.
