Adding yet another prestigious feat to her list of national and global accomplishments, the ruling ‘Mrs. Asia Universe’ – Delnaz Balsara Sharma was conferred a doctorate in the field of ‘Social Service – Women and Children’s Empowerment’, in recognition of her inexhaustible body of community service and social work, by the National Virtual University for Peace and Education, registered under the Government of India as well as the United Nations Organisation (UNO), Geneva. Delnaz was felicitated at a glittering convocation function on April 14th, 2019, at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore, with the Doctorate citation recognising her ‘concern and commitment towards the society at large’.
Speaking to Parsi Times about the prestigious recognition bestowed on her, Delnaz said, “It feels wonderful to be recognised for something I am so passionate about. This recognition means more than any other to me as women and children empowerment is a cause that’s integral to me. In fact, it is this cause which triggers my passion and renews my endeavours to share its significance with a national and global audience. In line with one off the quotes from my greatest inspiration and idol, Mother Teresa, I believe, “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”
Mumbai’s gorgeous Delnaz Balsara Sharma represented Asia as ‘MRS. ASIA UNIVERSE’, at the prestigious MRS. UNIVERSE 2018 Pageant, where she did our community, our country and our continent proud, being awarded the sub-title of ‘MRS. UNIVERSE BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE’, in December last year. Delnaz’s Doctorate was awarded to her by St. Mother Teresa Virtual University for Peace and Education, which is accredited by ‘World Sogn JBR’, Harvard, USA and affiliated with Cambridge School of Distance Education, UK.
