Sethna’s 18th WM Scout Group Holds Annual Jashan And Prize Distribution

On 14th September, 2019, Sethna’s 18th West Mumbai Scout Group held its annual Jashan and Prize Distribution ceremony, at Cama Baug in Mumbai. The function started with a Jashan performed by the Group’s own boys, followed by a warm welcome extended by Group Leader Scout Capt. Lavji J. Mistry to the gathering of the Scouts and their families and friends. He emphasized the relevance of God and Universal Brotherhood in the Scouting Movement. Next, the President of the society, Noshir Mistry, was presented a floral bouquet by a young cub. He explained how scouting provided all round development and thanked the parents for their cooperation.

This was followed by the Prize Distribution ceremony where all boys who had secured 80% and above in school for the last academic year were presented scholarships by Sethna’s Scouting Society, in recognition of their efforts and to encourage them towards academic excellence.

An entertainment program comprising cubs and scouts presenting musical items – singing songs and playing the guitar, games of Housie and fraternizing among old friends followed. The evening concluded with a delicious contributory dinner by Jimmy Caterers subsidized for the Scouting Society.
