Cama Welfare Association (Welfare wing of Merwanjee Cama Park – Andheri) celebrated India’s 72nd Republic Day in a unique way – as proposed by the residents – by running or walking a total of ‘72’ rounds (each comprising approx 400 metres) of the colony!
But owing to the over enthusiastic response, the spirited residents attempted 72kms instead, which roughly translates to 180 rounds of the colony!
Post the run, the flag was hoisted by nonagenarian – Neli M Narielwala. This was followed by a quiz and a sumptuous breakfast for all participants. The Covid-19 protocols were strictly adhered to through the activities.
