Rustom Baug marked the conclusion of its long-standing, splendid centennial celebrations on 22^nd December, 2023, at the Rustom Baug grounds. Draped in fine evening wear, residents and guests assembled at the spectacularly adorned venue, immersing themselves in an evening of sheer delight and collective jubilation.

The festivities were inaugurated by the charismatic Dr. Mazda Turel, who skillfully blended humor into his welcome address. Subsequently, dignitaries and VIPs, including notable figures like Dinshaw Tamboly, Justice Shahrukh Kathawalla, Ness Wadia, Anahita Desai, Hoshi Jal, and Mahrukh Noble, were felicitated. Recognition was also extended to Rustom Siganporia and Rustom Lawyer of the Wadia Trust for their significant contributions. Dr. Vispi Jokhi presented a brief overview of Masina Hospital’s services, and the 100-year celebration logo was unveiled, adding a touch of prestige to the occasion.

The evening’s entertainment dazzled with an electrifying Samba dance performance by XYZ’s Jamshed’s Giants, reigning champions for the fourth consecutive year! Their pulsating beats, synchronized movements, and vibrant costumes transported the audience to the lively streets of Rio de Janeiro.

Broadening the artistic spectrum, Ava Contractor graced the stage with her enchanting singing act. Curated by Kashmira Sanjana, a captivating fashion show showcased a delightful spectrum of styles. From toddlers adorned in adorable beachwear to children flaunting trendy street styles, the runway celebrated the diversity within our dynamic community. Young adults glittered in glamorous ensembles, while elegant women exuded grace in traditional and cocktail sarees, illustrating the beauty of different generations embracing their unique fashion expressions.

As the night progressed, Dr. Mazda Turel regaled the audience with heartwarming and humorous stories, embodying the spirit of the Rustom Baug legacy. The grand finale featured a mesmerizing sound and light show, depicting the life of Bai Jerbai Wadia, the iron lady who dedicated her life to serving the community. Organizers of the show were felicitated and recognized for their invaluable contributions.

The evening concluded with a delectable feast, expertly catered by Tanaz Godiwalla. In this grand finale, Rustom Baug not only celebrated its rich history but also set the stage for a vibrant and dynamic future.
