While Parsi cuisine has been growing in prominence and featuring proudly on many menus alongside other cuisines across restaurants and hotels in India, Persian cuisine has also been building its own strong identity and seems to have caught on in most Indian cities. If Mumbai is known as the hub for Irani cafes, Pune is not too far behind, sprucing up doing its Persian heritage proud!

One of Pune’s top choices for Persian as well as Parsi cuisine, is the famous ‘Kings Persian Bistro’, located at Pune Camp. Established nearly two decades ago by Bahram P. Zadeh, it’s the preference of many who are in the mood for some delectable Persian cuisine including Chelo Kabab, Jujejh Kabab, Zereshk Pulao, Berry Pulao or then some yummy Parsi dishes like Mutton/Chicken Dhansak, Salli boti, Patra-ni-macchi, Chicken farcha, a variety of cutlets, and much more!

“At Kings Persian Bistro, we don’t allow any compromise whatsoever on the quality of food – that’s why all our ingredients are either made in our kitchen or sourced from local producers, to ensure quality and freshness,” says Bahram Zadeh, proud owner of the restobar. “Our menu has been specially crafted by culinary expert Feroza Pithawalla, and preparation of every food item is directly overlooked by her, ensuring to provide both – a wholesome meal and an unforgettable dining experience,” he adds.

Food connoisseur Feroza Pithawalla – Managing Consultant at Kings Persian Bistro (KPB), has been sharing her creative genius and raising the gastronomic standards since 2010 at KPB. Initially from Mumbai, Feroza went on to fulfil her childhood passion for cooking and graduated from the prestigious Dadar Catering College.

“It’s been an amazing decade and more to see the smiles on the faces of our satiated food enthusiasts! While we lay extreme emphasis on the quality and taste of the food, we also focus on the customer-experience aspect to ensure everybody feels the warmth in our welcome and our constant efforts to cater to their preferences. We have been receiving an increasing amount of corporate orders and are proud to represent our Parsi and Persian cuisine to palates that have never tasted our cuisine. We also cater to Navjotes and weddings,” shares Feroza.

With two decades of success under their belts, what’s future plans? “We plan to represent our Parsi and Persian flavours and our hospitality further across the country!” says Bahram Zadeh. And no doubt, it will be to the benefit of all who favour delicious and quality cuisines!
