Doing Your Best Today Keeps You Prepared For Tomorrow
Dear Readers,
“The Third Wave of Covid-19 is not coming, it is here,” said Mumbai’s mayor – Kishori Pednekar, a few days ago, in keeping with a sudden spike in Covid cases. CM Uddhav Thackeray has also appealed to political parties and the public to put any public gatherings immediately and urgently on hold.
While we are still recovering from the disastrous impact of Covid’s unsparing second wave, its dreaded third wave is already upon us! The first wave of Covid took us unawares and the second wave proved we were unprepared. We do not have the luxury of time to ponder or plan, especially with the virus constantly mutating into its deadlier versions.
We have to be prepared. And for that, we must ensure that we, and all those around us, are strictly implementing Covid Appropriate Behaviour protocols – masks, social distancing, sanitizers, work-from-home, et al.
It is rightly said, ‘Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it’. We have had to learn too much, over the past twenty months. Doing our bit today will help us handle whatever tomorrow has in store for us. So, let’s do our best to ensure that we are prepared enough for tomorrow, to walk into it without heartache and loss.
Have a safe weekend!
