Parsi Girls Win Bronze At State Judo Tournament

Manashi Umrigar, Farrah Patel and Friya Jijina won a Bronze medal each, at the 44th Maharashtra State Sub Juniors Judo Tournament, held in Dhule on 1st and 2nd October, 2016. The three Parsi lasses had earlier grabbed Gold medals at their Mumbai Judo National Selection Trials, held on 27th September, 2016. Having made their respective schools and organisations proud at various events and tournaments, Manashi of J. B. Vachha High School has been training in Karate and Judo under the guidance of Jehangir Shroff of YKKF since the pat two and a half years, Farrah a student of Dhirubhai Ambani International School has been training in Judo under Sensei Cawas Billimoria and Sensei Kaushik Umrania since she was ten years old, while Friya, a student student of Dadar Parsee Youth Assembly (DPYA) has been training in Judo under Sensei Cawas Billimoria and her father Sensei Khushnoor Jijina, since she was two years old! The trio are currently participating for the National Judo Championship, in Bihar from 13th to 17th October, 2016. We wish them all the best!
