Roxanne Davur Awarded ‘YES FOUNDATION Everyday Hero Award-2016’

Animal lover, activist and owner of Probably Paradise Animal Shelter, Roxanne Davur, will be awarded the prestigious ‘YES FOUNDATION Everyday Hero Award-2016’ for her selfless dedication to animal care and protection. Roxanne has been working for the cause of animals since decades and founded her animal shelter, Probably Paradise in Karjat 2012, dedicated to nursing and taking care of elderly and injured animals.

Roxanne Davur will be felicitated at the grand ‘Yes! I Am The Change 2016 Awards’ ceremony on the 9th of February, 2017, in the presence of Union Minister of Railways, Suresh Prabhu; actor Abhishek Bachchan and Founder Chairman of GMR Group, GM Rao. She will also receive prize money of Rs.1 lakh.

Speaking to Parsi Times, Roxanne said, “I was thrilled to receive this acknowledgement so unexpectedly! However, I am one of the many, many crusaders who fight against the injustice meted out to the weaker, be it animals, women or children. Cruelty to animals has become so casual and careless – the intolerance towards animals is frightening as this automatically moves over to humans too. I have always worked for the cause of animals as they are the ones whose voices go unheard. My animal shelter, Probably Paradise, as a lot of the Parsi Times readers know, is to ensure a right to dignity and security for all animals.”
