On 25th  August 2021, Lion Daara B Patel was honoured with the prestigious International President’s Award, for his yeoman service to the underprivileged, the migrants as well as the city and state Police Force, for the past two years and through the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, Lion Daara helped over 500 people get vaccinated. This award recognizes his efforts, service and accomplishments.

On the occasion, Lion Dr. Jung-Yul Choi, International President, Lions Clubs International, said, “It is my honour as your President, to present this award for your outstanding service to Lions Clubs International.” An excerpt from the award citation reads, “This (award) is an expression of our appreciation for our dedicated service to those in need. You hard work and compassion serve as an example to the Lions, your community and the world around you. Together we can serve united in kindness and diversity.”
