On 18^th December, 2021, the Forum for Integrated National Security (FINS) and Prabuddha Bharat felicitated Commodore Medioma Bhadha of the Indian Navy, and two other 1971 war heroes, as a part of the Golden Jubilee Year commemorations of the Bangladesh War, at a function held at the Foundry Cluster Auditorium, in Belgaum.

All three war heroes hail from Belgaum – Commodore Bhadha, Air Vice Marshal Mohan Dixit and Lt. Col. Vijay Misal (Sena Medal) – and were felicitated by Shri Mohan Ijare, Col. Madhukar Kadam and Shri Sachin Sabnis.

Jt. Convenor FINS – Col. R K Jadhav gave the welcome note, praising them in his opening remarks. Kishore Kakade presented Vande Mataram while Sachin Sabnis proposed the vote of thanks. Other participants of the 1971 war were also felicitated. “INS Vikrant was like a mother to us,” shared Commodore M. Bhada, and he was followed by other awardees who shared their war experiences with the audience. Ably compared by the Naik couple, the program saw a good turnout of people who came in show their respect for the veterans.
