15-year-old Yashna Naushirwan Commissariat was selected as part of the UAE Cricket team that played in the CISCE Girls U-17 Regional Cricket Tournament that was held in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, from end October to beginning of November, 2022. Originally from Rustom Baug in Mumbai, Yashna is currently schooling in a school in Dubai.

Growing her prowess as a good pace bowler, Yashna stood out in this tournament as the highest wicket taking bowler from the UAE team, which won the tournament, defeating Maharashtra-Goa team in the finals, which included two run-outs at crucial junctures of the game. Her best bowling figures in this tournament were 3-0-13-4 (4 wickets giving just 13 runs in 3 overs).  She has been recognised as an outstanding players and has been selected for the next level in the SGFI (School Games Federation of India).  Academically too, Yashna is dedicated and committed and is working towards pursuing a career as a Veterinarian Doctor, in keeping with her love for animals.
