Tata, Godrej Join Hands First Time To Create Luxury Heaven In Mumbai

For the very first time, the Tata Group and The Godrej Group have come together to co-create a luxury heaven in Mumbai’s Vikhroli, titled ‘Taj The Trees’ – which is a melange of these two iconic legacies coming together. IHCL (Indian Hotels Company Limited) recently announced the inauguration of this eco-sensitive hotel, which is nestled in greenery, and overlooks the mangroves and Mumbai’s eastern shoreline.

The fifth Taj hotel in Mumbai, ‘Taj The Trees’ is a 151-keys hotel spread across 34 acres and is located close to the commercial hubs and the upcoming Navi Mumbai international airport. As per a news report, this uniquely designed hotel celebrates the essence of ‘Tajness’ with the spirit of Godrej Properties’ built legacy of sustainable developments across India.

Taj The Trees, an archetype of modern sustainable design ethos, is a 100% green power hotel. With natural sunlight used for lighting 56% of occupiable spaces, green certified room amenities and glass water bottles, the zero single use plastic hotel is IGBC Platinum certified. Restaurants include ‘Shamiana’ the signature all day diner; ‘Nonya’ which serves authentic pan Asian cuisine; and ‘The Mangrove Bar’ with its own gin distillery.
