Gamadia High School Celebrates Annual Day

Held on 18th January, 2024, at the Y B Chavan Auditorium, the ‘Jungle Book’ themed Annual Day celebration of the Bai M N Gamadia Girls’ High School, was indeed a spirited and vibrant musical extravaganza. With theatre artist and chemical engineer, Jehangir Karkaria presiding as Chief Guest, the function commenced with a lively show where students donned costumes inspired by characters from Rudyard Kipling’s classic.

The play unfolded with Mowgli’s adventures, resonating with the audience’s nostalgia and admiration for the timeless tale. In between acts, the choir serenaded the audience with jungle-inspired melodies. The highlight of the evening was a dance-drama encapsulating the essence of friendship and unity, drawing parallels with Mowgli’s relationships in the jungle.

This was followed by a warm welcome and opening remarks, by the School Principal – Zarin Rabadi, President PGSA – Kersi Commissariat and Chief Guest Jehangir Karkararia, who shared inspiring experiences and emphasized the importance of dedication and perseverance. The prize distribution ceremony was next, awarding trophies to deserving students for their exemplary efforts and achievements.

The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks, concluding the Annual Day celebrations, which honoured creativity, talent and the magic of ‘The Jungle Book’.
