BPP’s Holds ‘Alliance Quest Picnic’

In keeping with its efforts to promote matrimony within the community, the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) held an ‘Alliance Quest Picnic’ on April 09th, 2017 at the Royal Garden Resort in Mumbai. Over 40 participants attended this fun-filled picnic, with some picked-up from three different locations. The enthusiastic youngsters came from all Mumbai city, distant suburbs, as well as Vapi, Valsad, Pune and Jamshedpur. Looking for a soul mate became more hip with this lively initiative, where all participants could interact in a relaxed and fun environment. An A/c bus kicked off the journey with refreshments served to early risers, thanks to Adventure Tours played, adding comfort during travel.

After reaching the Resort, there was an innovative round of introduction post which interesting games were played enabling the participants to get better acquainted. Many new found friends made the most of the water park. Next was lunch followed by an interactive session conducted by Yasmin Mistry, who brought the gathering to life and also shared helpful heartfelt opinions. The oncoming jam session witnessed a lot of participants getting to know each other better. The event ended with more team games, music and spot prizes.

The ‘Alliance Quest Picnic’, spearheaded by Arnavaz Mistry with the assistance of a few volunteers, ended on a high note with all the participants giving heartfelt thanks to the BPP, Yasmin Mistry and Arnavaz Mistry for providing this platform and requesting to arrange more such picnics and outings.

The participants were the happiest lot of all… “The picnics are always loads of fun and very, very good – it’s the best way to meet new people, interact and make new friends. Keep up the good work!” said Hanoz Lakdawala. Another participant, Shahnaz Irani, said, “I liked the most innovative games, lunch was really tasty, will be waiting to go for the picnic again! It was excellent! I had fun!”

“The effort put in is excellent, a big thank you to Arnavaz Jal Mistry and the organizers for the picnic and for providing Parsi youth a platform to marry within our community,” expressed Neville Dumlavwalla; while Rukhsar Sidhwa said, “I really appreciate the tremendous effort that went into making this event so successful! It was a wonderful experience. I had a blast at the water park. Thank you so much!”

And Fali Madon said, “It was a great opportunity for all Parsi youth. Hats off to the management! Looking forward for more such events, let these happen more often. God bless you all!”
