XYZ Holds ‘Joy Of Giving’ – Toy Collection Drive

Through the year, Xtremely Young Zoroastrians (XYZ) Foundation, via its sub-groups and committees, ensures that its young adults are constantly working towards making a difference in the lives of those not as privileged as the rest of us. Recently, ‘Jamshed’s Giants’ held a Toy Collection Drive, where they amassed over a thousand toys to support Primary and Pre-primary schools, in villages – Kurundwad and Bhairewadi, which had been destroyed due to heavy rains. The Drive supported NGOs like Wishing Well and Mann Deshi Foundation.

Tremendous support was garnered by the posters which were made and circulated to all XYZ groups in Mumbai – for the one-month long drive. In the first phase, Jamshed’s Giants sent 7 huge cartons of toys to the NGOs for distribution, which were packed off to Zilla Parishad Primary school in Dabia, deep in the jungles of Melghat. In the second phase, Jamshed’s Giants initiated a toy collection drive in Rustom Baug, with tiny tots going door to door, explaining the cause to residents, requesting them for toy or monetary donations. A sum of Rs 15,000 was raised, and the toys will be sent to schools in Darjeeling.

Kudos to XYZ Foundation and its little saviours, who constantly work towards making a difference!
