India Seals ODI Series: Rohit Sharma’s massive 115 off 126 deliveries coupled with a four wicket haul (4-57) from bowler Kuldeep Yadav helped the men in blue win the fifth ODI match comprehensively by a margin of 73 runs against South Africa at Port Elizabeth. Batting first, India notched up 274-7 in their 50 overs courtesy Rohit’s century, which included 11 fours and four sixes. For the hosts, Lungisani Ngidi picked 4-51 in nine overs. In reply, the Proteas were bundled out for 201 in 42.2 overs. Hashim Amla top scored with 71 while Klaasen contributed 39. For India, besides Kuldeep, Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal picked two wickets each. Rohit Sharma grabbed the Man of the Match award as India now have a 4-1 lead in the series.

Parsee Gymkhana Victory: Parsee Gymkhana’s skipper Raunaq Sharma led from the front with both bat and ball as he first contributed a massive 178 in just 141 deliveries, smashing 21 fours and 7 sixes. On the other hand he snapped up 4-38 with his leg-spin which helped the side win their first match of the Young Comrade Shield Cricket Tournament by 87 runs against Islam Gymkhana. Batting first, PG amassed 369 in 69.1 overs. Ashay Sardesai also scored 43, Manish Rao made 33 while on the other hand Ajinkya Patil and Puneet Tripathi scored 31 each. For Islam Gymkhana Musheer Khan was the pick of the bowlers with 7-101. In reply Islam Gymkhana were under pressure while chasing down the score and succumbed for 282 in 60.5 overs as Hashir Dafedar made 72. Further, Raunaq was outstanding in the field too with an instrumental run out which sent Dafedar back to the dugout.

Halep, Wozniacki In Qatar Open Round III: Australian Open champ, Caroline Wozniacki, and World Number 2, Simona Halep, outplayed their respective partners to advance into the next round of the Qatar Open. Caroline beat Germany’s Carina Witthoeft 6-2, 6-0 while Simona outplayed Ekaterina Makarova of Russia 6-3, 6-0.

Cleveland Cavaliers Win NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James scored 17 points for his side in the third quarter of their contest which ultimately got his tally to 37 points and helped beat Oklahoma City Thunder 120-112.
