Holds Jashan Honouring Dasturji Kookadaru

In remembrance of Pak Dasturji Kookadaru Saheb, on his anniversary of passing, a special Jashan ceremony was performed at the Sodawaterwala Agiary on 4th September, 2023 (Mah Fravardin, Roj Behram; 1393 YZ), by the Panthaki of Sodawaterwala Agiary – Er. Pervez Behramsha Karanjia and his son, Er. Arzan Karanjia. The Jashan, which started at 10:00 am, witnessed a large turnout of Parsi / Irani Zoroastrians despite being a weekday. Chasni was distributed to all post the Jashan.

Dasturji Kookadaru Saheb is fondly remembered as the glorious saint and helpful soul, who lived in the 1800s. He was spiritually blessed by Dasturji Azar Kaiwan. With this guidance, he helped innumerable Zoroastrians who sought his help and benefited through his prescribed prayers.

Dasturji Kookadaru Saheb is known for having performed a number of miracles. It was due to his divine powers that he would relieve those ailing from deadly diseases and it was through his divinity that the Anjuman Atash Behram was renovated from its dilapidated condition. He was a physical, mental and spiritual healer, an accurate astrologer, who predicted the correct time of death of his own and many other prominent well known, worldwide personalities. A divine soul, he was a vegetarian and would cook his meals by placing them under the sun and reciting prayers. He was a pious soul who had descended from one of the supreme layers of heaven to serve mankind and he continued to do so till he passed.
