Breathe Easy…

Dear Readers,

Mumbai’s deteriorating air quality has become cause for much concern and conversation, as it competes with and even overtakes Delhi’s pitiable polluted air levels. Until a few years ago, Mumbai’s coastal location helped check the air pollution and issues of haze and smog, as the sea breeze would clear away the dust and other suspended particles.

Unfortunately, this geographical advantage is also weakening and it’s now upon the state and civic authorities who need to implement some serious, stringent measures, to render the air, lung-worthy! As individuals we also need to fortify this effort, by doing our bit to adopt new habits and more importantly, dispose old ones, which directly or indirectly, add to this rising air-calamity.

And while we are at it, how about we also look at clearing out some of the pollution accumulating inside of us – in our bodies and our minds? The year end is always a good time to get ourselves a good physical detox and some mental / emotional hygiene. Mental and physical health are equally important and fundamentally linked, always influencing each other. One of the best ways to boost your health is to do away with the pollutants within and ensure a better diet for both – the stomach and the mind.

Here’s looking forward to some quick cleansing of Mumbai’s pollution, so that our lungs can breathe easy. And once you do away with the negativity induced by toxic habits, toxic environments or even toxic people, is when you can well and truly breathe easy, in or out of Mumbai!

Have a good weekend!
