Australia Win T20 Series: An unbeaten century from Man of the Match and Series, Glenn Maxwell (113 off 55) ensured Australia’s win by seven wickets against India at Bengaluru, thus winning the T20 series 2-0. Batting first, India scored 190-4 in 20 overs courtesy skipper Virat Kohli (72* off 38), MS Dhoni (40 off 23) and KL Rahul (47 off 26). Aussie bowlers, Behrendorff, Coulter-Nile, Cummins, and Short grabbed one wicket each. In reply, Australia won as Maxwell hammered the Indian bowlers all over the park, with seven fours and nine sixes. D’Arcy Short a vital 40 opening the innings. For India, Vijay Shankar picked (2-38) while Siddharth Kaul took (1-45).

 

Manish, Vinayak Star For PG: Excellent bowling by Manish Rao (7-27) and an unbeaten 58 by batsman Vinayak Mane helped Parsee Gymkhana (PG) win by eight wickets against Fort Vijay, in the pre-quarter final match of the Young Comrade Shield Tournament, at Cross Maidan. Electing to bat first, Fort Vijay were bundled out for 126 in 33.4 overs. Pratik Prabhu top scored with 85. PG’s Manish attacked the opposition batting, reducing Fort Vijay to 27-6 in 10.1 overs, from which they never recovered. Abhimanyu Vashishtha snapped up (2-32) while Jay Kothari picked up (1-18). PG reached finished comfortably 130-2 in 23 overs, with Vinayak’s 10 fours en-route his unbeaten half ton and Nikhil Patil not out on 34 with five boundaries and one six.

Manu-Saurabh Grab Gold In ISSF World Cup: India’s shooting pair – Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary – did India proud clinching the Gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event in the ISSF World Cup in New Delhi. The Indian duo registered a total score of 483.5 to finish on top, beating the Chinese team (Ranxin Jiang/Bowen Zhang winning Silver at 477.7) and the Korean team (Minjung Kim/Daehun Park at 418.8).

 

Saurabh Chaudhary Smashes World Record: India’s 16-year-old shooting champion, Saurabh Chaudhary, won the Gold medal in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol, with a World Record score of 245 during the ISSF World Cup, assuring himself an Olympic quota for Tokyo 2020. Serbia’s Damir Mikec won Siver with China’s Pang Wei came third.

Premier League Results: On 26th February, Everton overpowered Cardiff City with a 3-0 win, Huddersfield Town won 1-0 with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City grabbed a 2-1 victory V/s Brighton and Hove Albion while Newcastle United beat Burnley 2-0. The following day Arsenal won 5-1 against AFC Bournemouth, Southampton won 2-0 V/s Fulham, Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0; while Liverpool thrashed Watford 5-0.
