At a meeting held on 20th July, 2019, the Pune chapter of the World Zarathushti Chambers of Commerce (WZCC), established its very own ‘Youth’ and ‘Women Entrepreneurs’ Wings, under the able leadership of Tehmasp K. Bharucha, Chapter Chair, WZCC, Pune.
The membership of WZCC consists of various categories of members belonging to different age groups, professionals, service class, industrialists, corporate, lady entrepreneurs, youth etc. It’s activities and programs are designed keeping in mind the interest and requirement of these sectors. The Youth wing will comprise members belonging to the age group 18-40 years. They would mainly look into designing program which benefit the youth, including seminars, training sessions, lectures, etc, with youth as the main theme. It is given operational freedom to collectively ideate on themes as also select a representative at the main body-working committee who would voice their views and requirements for consideration and implementation.
The WE (Women Entrepreneur) Wing comprising lady members will work towards empowering women entrepreneurs and will design programs accordingly which encourage women across industries. The over-all control on these wings will be that of the main body and the wings will work under the umbrella of the working committee.
We make our meetings and events interesting, informative and useful for our members and for the community in general. Even at the International level, significance is given to this type of focused approach. “We have a dedicated Youth Director and a WE Global Secretary on the Board, designated to concentrate and improve upon the Youth and Women sectors. By establishing these two wings at the Pune chapter, we have fulfilled the requirement of our International President!” said Tehmasp K. Bharucha, Chapter Chair, WZCC, Pune.
