Pujara Strikes A Gritty Century On Day One Against Australia: Though first day honours belonged to the Aussies, India’s Cheteshwar Pujara played extremely well for his 123 off 246 balls laced with seven fours and two sixes which helped India reach a respectable total of 250-9 in 87.5 overs at stumps on day one at Adelaide Oval, Australia. Winning the toss and electing the bat first, India’s top order collapsed within no time as they were reduced to 86-5 in 37.3 overs. The batsmen got the required starts but could not convert it into big scores. Pujara stuck in there for his side like a wall while losing partners at the other end. For the hosts, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon grabbed two wickets each.

Gautam Gambhir Retires From All Forms Of Cricket: Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir announced on social media that he has retired from all forms of cricket. The 37 year old elegant batsman played for India in 58 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20s. The Ranji game against Andhra will be his last. Gambhir is best remembered for helping India win two Wold Cup tournaments.

Hockey World Cup 2018: Germany Beat Netherlands, Malaysia-Pakistan Involved In Draw: Germany thrashed Netherlands 4-1 in a one sided affair of their Pool D encounter during the Hockey World Cup at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar. With this victory, Germany have topped their pool while Netherlands are second on the list. In another match Malaysia and Pakistan were involved in a 1-1 draw. Germany after securing this win has become the first team in the edition of the World Cup to earn direct qualification into the quarter-finals.

On 5th December Liverpool beat Burnley 3-1 as Milner, Roberto Firmino and Shaqiri scored in the 62nd, 69th and 90+1 minute. Everton and Newcastle were involved in a 1-1 draw. Fulham and Leicester also drew their game 1-1. On the other hand Wolves beat Chelsea 2-1 as Jimenez pelted a goal in the 59th minute while Jota struck the winner during the 63rd minute of the clash. Top teams Manchester United and Arsenal also played out a 2-2 draw. For the united…Martial scored in the 30th minute while Lingard shot in the 69th minute while for Arsenal Mustafi and Rojo struck goals. During the final game, Tottenham beat Southampton 3-1. Kane, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-Min helped their team cross the winning line.
