IPL 2019: Mumbai Indians Win Nail-biting Thriller: Man of the Match and stand-in skipper Kieran Pollard’s outstanding knock of 83 in just 31 deliveries helped Mumbai Indians (MI) win a thrilling contest by three wickets against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Wankhede Stadium. Batting first, the Kings notched up 197-4 in their 20 overs. A 100* off 64 balls for KL Rahul right up the order along with Chris Gayle’s 36 ball 63 got them off to a powerful start. Hardik Pandya was the pick of the bowlers for MI with two wickets. Coming out to chase down their total, it was a complete Pollard show, smashing three boundaries and 10 sixes with a strike rate of 267.7 – seeing MI to victory in style.

IPL 2019: Deepak Chahar Gets CSK Victory: Deepak Chahar snared (3-20) with the ball early in the contest helping Chennai Super Kings (CSK) win by seven wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Batting first, KKR managed a paltry 108-9 in 20 overs, thanks to Andre Russell’s half century. Wickets fell easy and KKR were reeling at 47-6 at the half stage mark. Russell’s 44 ball 50 was studded with five fours and three maximums. For CSK, with Chahar, Harbhajan Singh picked (2-15) while Imran Tahir grabbed (2-21). In reply, CSK batsmen cruised to victory reaching 111-3 in 17.2 overs. Shane Watson struck big earlier on but then perished after scoring a nine ball 17 laced with two fours and a six. Ambati Rayudu scored 21 while Suresh Raina contributed 14. Faf du Plessis remained unbeaten at 43.

Premier League Results: On 6th April, AFC Bournemouth lost 1-3 V/s Burnley; Leicester City thrashed Huddersfield 4-1; Crystal Palace beat Newcastle United 1-0. Next day, Everton won 1-0 with Arsenal. 8th April saw Chelsea beating West Ham United 2-0. The following day Liverpool won 2-0 against FC Porto, while Tottenham Hotspur clinched a 1-0 win with Manchester City.

Golden State Warriors Win Again: A power packed Golden State Warriors team won their final regular season match at the Oracle Arena, beating Los Angeles Clippers 131-104. Stephen Curry scored 27 points while Kevin Durant managed 16.

Indian Shuttlers Shine In Singapore Open: PV Sindhu defeated Lyanny Alessandra Mainaky of Indonesia 21-9, 21-7; while Saina Nehwal outclassed Indonesian shuttler Yulia Yosephin Susanto 21-16, 21-11 in straight games, thus started their Singapore Open badminton tournament campaign on a winning note in the Women’s Singles round.
